Adult Mississippi River Pilgrimage
in and around New Orleans, Louisiana
Experience
the people and places of the Mississippi River as you explore the very
heart of America. We will arrange for you to paddle the swampy home of the Houma Indians, worship
with gospel music, and enjoy Cajun culture, with its unique blend of language,
food and 'le bon temps roule' outlook. Enjoy casting for fish, hearing jazz at its birthplace, and getting to know some of the
people who call the Mississippi River home. Throughout this journey, you
will also learn about the ecology and history of the river, from Thomas
Jefferson's signing of the Louisiana Purchase in 1803 to the present day. This pilgrimage is a wonderful
opportunity to get to know an often-unseen side of our country and connect
with the spirit of the mighty Mississippi River.
